REPREVE ReCirculate is made from post-consumer recycled single-use plastic bottles and manufacturing yarn waste. Consistent with virgin-quality polyester and tunable for performance, this traceable fiber reduces fossil fuel and freshwater consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and energy consumption.

Collection & Sorting

Post-industrial polyester yarn waste is collected, including waste from our owned-factories, and carefully sorted to prepare for recycling.

Recycling Process

The yarn waste is blended with post-consumer plastic bottles to enhance performance and processing efficiency.

Resin Production

Recycled bottle flake and yarn waste are melted and converted into high-quality polyester resin. At this stage, our proprietary FiberPrint^® tracer is embedded to ensure traceability. This resin can be used directly in applications like packaging and nonwovens.

Fiber Spinning

The resin is then extruded and spun into REPREVE ReCirculate fiber and yarn — ready to be used in fabrics for apparel, footwear, automotive, home furnishings, and more.

Backed by third party reviewed LCA data, REPREVE ReCirculate draw textured yarn (DTY) demonstrates over a 36% reduction in GHG emissions, as much as a 53% reduction in energy consumption, at least a 61% reduction in fossil fuel consumption, and up to a 70% reduction in freshwater consumption, over virgin polyester production.¹
