REPREVE Our Ocean helps reduce plastic pollution from coastlines and improve coastal community livelihoods by collecting and transforming plastic into recycled polyester. This FiberPrint^® traceable performance fiber decreases dependence on virgin fossil fuels.

Coastline Collection

Post-consumer plastic bottles are collected from communities located within 50 kilometers of coastlines that lack formal waste management systems, helping prevent ocean-bound plastic pollution.

Certification & Preparation

The collected plastic bottles are certified by our social enterprise partner, OceanCycle^®, then cleaned and shredded into recycled flake.

Resin Creation with Traceability

Flake is melted and transformed into recycled polyester resin, enhanced with our proprietary FiberPrint^® technology for full traceability. This resin can be used in applications such as packaging and nonwovens.

Fiber Spinning

The resin is then spun into REPREVE Our Ocean fiber and yarn — ready to be used in apparel, footwear, automotive, home furnishings, and more.

REPREVE Our Ocean partners with OceanCycle to collect ocean-bound plastic.

OceanCycle is a social enterprise focused on preventing ocean-bound plastic pollution and improving livelihoods in coastal communities through certification and direct social interventions.
