Collection & Sorting

Recycled, post-consumer plastic bottles are collected, thoroughly cleaned, and sorted to begin the transformation process.

Flake Production

The bottles are shredded into bottle flake, which are cleaned and prepared for further processing.

Resin Creation

The flake is melted and converted into high-quality polyester resin. At this stage, our proprietary FiberPrint® tracer is embedded to ensure traceability. This resin can be used directly in applications like packaging and nonwovens.

Fiber Spinning

The resin is then extruded and spun into REPREVE fiber and yarn — ready to be used in fabrics for apparel, footwear, home furnishings, and more.

REPREVE has recycled more than 42 billion post-consumer single-use plastic bottles into sustainable polyester yarn and resin.
